The Viqua Air Venturi Ozone UV System is ideal for water filtration related pools, hot tubs, and spas.
Ozone is nature’s natural purifier. This naturally occurring product is produced during lightning and electrical storms as well as when solar ultraviolet rays strike the earth’s upper atmosphere. It is this ozone layer which protects us from the harmful UV radiation produced by the sun.
Ozone is generated when an oxygen molecule (O2) is exposed to high energy, ultraviolet (UV) light and is converted to an ozone (O3) molecule. This extra oxygen atom is what makes ozone a highly “energetic” oxidizer.
